This award celebrates twenty 6th - 8th grade students from across the country who have demonstrated perseverance in their academic pursuits. Nothing deters them from their educational journey, just as the NASA Perseverance mission team working on the Mars mission perseveres to build, send, and operate a rover on Mars, despite enormous obstacles.
Nevaeh, surrounded by her teachers and classmates, spent an hour live via Zoom with the Perseverance Mission team at the Jet Propulsion Lab in California learning about this mission on Mars. The Perseverance Rover on Mars also sent Nevaeh a personalized message inspiring her to continue her hard work.
